New practices boost the quality of the magazine

Guided by constant updating and connected to the most relevant advances in academic literature, we are implementing ACCORD in our journal. ACCORD is a tool to guide the preparation of reports of biomedical studies that use consensus methods for publication. An official consensus academic article, according to Wikipedia, "is a scientific document that consolidates the collective position, judgment, and opinion of the vast majority of active and qualified experts on a specific topic in a scientific discipline." The International Society of Medical Publication Professionals (https://www.ismpp.org/accord) hosts ACCORD, first suggested in an article published in early 2024 by the journal PLOS Medicine (https://journals.plos.org/plosmedicine/article?id=10.1371/journal.pmed.1004326) and listed on the EQUATOR Network (https://www.equator-network.org/reporting-guidelines/accord-accurate-consensus-reporting-document-a-reporting-guideline-for-consensus-methods-in-biomedicine/), the leading international network for research reporting guidelines.
Using ACCORD raises the scientific standard of the journal and helps ensure that published consensus statements are reliable and well-reported.
